creative card crew challenge

Here is my card for the creative card crew challenge

The challenge this week was to use warm colours, I really love taking part in the online challenges as it makes me feel part of something.

I haven't been doing to much card making lately I needed a break after the mothers day madness. I have been getting on with a baby blanket for a friend of mine. I am not brilliant at crochet but I really love doing it. I want to learn more techniques so lots more practice needed lol

Yesterday I thought about washing all my curtains .........then I came to my senses and decided to craft instead. So I got on and ,made the gingerbread man story bag for the school.

It didn't make to long and in the end it wasn't to difficult thank goodness.

It was a simple drawstring bag then I made the gingerbread man from brown felt.Then when I was sewing him onto the bag i left a gap and stuffed him, so he stood out.

They were pleased with the bag at school so I am really pleased, I always feel so honored when they ask me to do things.

I am not very happy with it but I guess anything is better than nothing.

Finally.. i have finished the mothers day cards now all that remains is to wait for them to be collected and see if they go. I can't wait to do a plain ordinary birthday card, its SO hard to think of lots of different ideas for the same occasion.
Anyway it looks like i already have my next project. I help out alot at my girls school, PTA after school help etc. yesterday they asked me to make some story bags up for them. They will need to be fairytale themed .One is the gingerbread man and i think the other is goldilocks ,so I need to find a gingerbread man template.

I am also crocheting a blanket for my sisters baby which is due in July.She has had a really rough time of it bless her.She is 40 and really suffering with her blood pressure.So I want to help as much as I can I have started stocking up on bargains for a nappy cake nearer the time lol.

Still i am only happy when I am really busy.

Wow what a week!! On Monday about 9.30pm my b.i.l called me (which is unusual) he asked me to make him 15 mothers day cards seven of which he wanted with in Irish theme ????

He also wanted to pick them up on tuesday night. I was very dubious about doing it as he is not the most reliable person I know. I had visions of working like a mad woman only to never see the cards or the money again. Still I got the cards made even the Irish ones .

I was wrong !!! He called me an hour after he left and had sold the lot, for £2.50 each.( I normally only charge £1.50 ) I am really happy to have sold some as I was about ready to pack away my stash for good. Anyway he called me last night and wants another 10 ready for tomorrow night . It is lovely to sell them but I am sooo bored of doing mothers day cards now. I have done 5 of the ten so far will hope to finish the rest tonight.

I may have to use one of them for the MSE ripping challenge lol.

Ok so here goes................

My name is Maria I am 28 years old and I am a craftaholic lol, well it does feel a bit like a naughty obsession some times.I have 3 lovely kids all under seven ( I know gluton for punishment). Each one of my children is a blessing because I was told i would probably never concieve (pcos). Imagine mine & hubbys surprise when 3 arrived in six years.

I love to do anything crafty ,I am one of those jack of all trades but master of none type people.
At the moment my favorite thing is card making which I have been doing on and off for about 4 years.I also love sewing and crochet .

I started crafting because hubby is a sports fanatic and I found i had alot of time on my hands whilst he was watching some sport or another. I have been addicted ever since.
Thats enough about me for now as anyone reading is probably asleep by now.
